I’m not against women support, but what does carrying a basket on their head has to do with it? Do you really know why they carry the baskets on their heads? This is part of their culture and it is actually a proper way to physically carry something with your body strength, from head to toes. This happens in a lot of cultures, and again, it has nothing to do with lack of government support towards women. They are carrying on their heads because they want to, not because they are forced to. Should they want to, they can carry it on their backs, arms, or any other carrying instrument or vehicle they could develop with what little means they might have.
FYI, if you “hate Antigua Guatemala” because of this, you’re really missing the point. 😉
